Be Part Of It

You’ll be part of our world record attempt and you’ll be helping us raise vital funds for our charity. We use the money to train young people in volunteering, leadership, and business skills, and we run holiday clubs for primary school children in communities across South Wales.

What you’ll need on the day:

1. Your costume as an illustrated story book character (books MUST have been published before a film version)
2. The book with the picture of your character in.
3. Your ticket – make sure your register on line before July 1 2018 to get your £1 discount voucher from any book you purchase at the event.

We’ll take the pictures of everyone attends, to prove we broke the record. The doors will open at 12.30pm and the count will start at 2.30pm, with doors closing on all activities at 4.30pm.

Sounds great, doesn’t it? So…what are you waiting for?

Guinness World Record Rules

Thank you for your support of our world record attempt. Your order details are below but first of all here are the Guinness Book of Records Rules!

Thank you for being part of our record attempt.  This is an official Guinness World Record attempt which means we have some guidelines that we must follow to prove to them that we have achieved the record which we really want to do.

    1. Your costume must be from an illustrated storybook that was published before a film was produced. This unfortunately means that Frozen Characters cannot be part of the attempt.  Mickey and Minnie Mouse do not qualify either but the classic Disney stories such as Snow White and Cinderella do.Duplication of costumes is allowed but with the 1000’s of story book characters available the sky is the limit.  REMEMBER this is not an age limited so the whole family can join in the Fun.
    2. Guinness World Record also require that we need to take a picture of each person in costume holding the book that the picture has come from. WE CONFIRM THAT ONCE WE HAVE UPLOADED THE EVIDENCE TO THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORD TEAM THEN WE WILL DESTROY ALL THE COPIES THAT WE HOLD.
    3. You will be given a wristband with a number on such as B23. You need to put this one as soon as you have been given it.
    4. When the count is being done you will need to go to the area shown on your band. For example if you have D10 then you should go to the area showing D and the steward in that area will check your band number and mark you on his list.
    5. Once everyone is in there designated area the Presenter will call time and everyone will need to stand in their area for five minutes while the attempt is recorded. Time will be called and then everyone will be free to move.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PARENTS WHO ARE NOT DRESSED UP WILL BE

REQUIRED TO MOVE TO THE SIDE OF THE AREA THEIR CHILDREN

ARE IN FOR THIS FIVE MINUTE PERIOD.  YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SEE

EACH OTHER BUT YOU WILL BE SEPARATED.

  1.             YOU WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE FOR TAKING PART IN THE RECORD ATTEMPT.
