Hybu
Hybu is both a training provider and an active volunteer group.
The adult wing of Hybu is involved with the planning and delivery of a programme of activities and events in order to raise funds;
- Involved in an ad hoc manner to help out on a one off basis as required
- Provide advice and support to external groups who wish to organise an event or fundraising but do not have the necessary expertise within their own group
- Provide a work force for external groups who have organised an event but do not have sufficient staff to carry it out correctly
- Trainers/mentors the Pobl Ifanc Pudsey Programme
All adult volunteers are required to complete an application form, provide references and undergo a police check as they will in the course of their volunteering be in contact with children, young people and vulnerable adults. The charity in return for the time and commitment given by the volunteers provides training for all participants. Adult Volunteers are able to undertake OCN accredited training in Volunteering Skills Level 3 and if they wish to work on a more permanent basis with the organisation then they are able to undertake further training with regard to managing volunteers. Adult volunteers under the age of 18 year of age have the opportunity to become part of the Millennium Volunteer Programme. |
